About Us

Support Officers are specially trained civilian volunteers who respond to 911 calls where there has been, or is likely to be, a fatality.

Once at the scene, Support Officers:
  • assist surviving family, friends, and fire and police first responders
  • buy food to provide meals for families and first responders during search and rescue operations
  • provide food for meals to families following a crisis
  • in the case of an infant death, families are provided with memorial tapes and a casket
  • and through it all Support Officers comfort, explain procedures, and provide a stable presence
